Mikaela Bray

Hometown: Chatfield, MN
Education: B.S. Biology, UW-Madison

Research Interests: My research investigates how metabolic manipulation with the mitochondrial inhibitor atovaquone alters tumor behavior and immune recognition in ovarian cancer. I aim to understand how metabolic stress can be leveraged to enhance NK-cell–mediated killing and to define how it influences p53 mutational activity, ultimately guiding the development of new therapeutic strategies.

Outside of Lab Interests: Outside of research, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my boyfriend and our two dogs. I’m passionate about health and mindfulness, finding new ways to stay active and balanced, and enjoy communicating science to help advocate for and expand awareness around women’s health.
