A Closer Look at Our Staff
Dan lebovic, MD, MA
Dr. Lebovic is an associate professor in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. He is the program’s medical director. He earned his MD from George Washington University and completed his fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Lebovic specializes in female infertility, endometriosis and recurrent pregnancy loss.
Charles Bormann, PhD
Dr. Bormann is the IVF lab supervisor at UW Health. He completed his post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Michigan. Dr. Bormann earned a PhD and MS in Reproductive Physiology from the University of Connecticut, an MS in Reproductive Physiology from Purdue University and a BS in Animal Science from Iowa State University. Dr. Bormann specializes in oocyte maturation, cryopreservation and embryo culture.
Mark P.D. Dow, PhD, HClD
Dr. Dow is the lab director for the IVF Laboratory at UW Health. He earned his PhD in reproductive physiology from Michigan State University and his BS in biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Dr. Dow is board certified as a High Complexity Laboratory Director with specialties in andrology and embryology.
Dr. Salih is an assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. She completed her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Texas Medical Branch. Dr. Salih specializes in female infertility, including controlled ovarian hyperstimulation, in vitro fertilization and third party reproduction, as well as women’s endocrine issues. Dr. Salih has special interest in fertility preservation in cancer patients and has active research components in this area.
Daniel Williams, MD
Dr. Williams is an assistant professor in the Department of Urology with a joint appointment in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He completed his fellowship training in Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. He specializes in all aspects of male infertility, including microsurgical vasectomy reversal, microsurgical variococelectomy (varicocele is the most common surgically-correctable cause of male-factor infertility), testicular and epididymal sperm extraction, and the treatment of testicular failure and male hypogonadism (testosterone deficiency).
Julianne Zweifel, PhD
Dr. Zweifel is a clinical psychologist in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She earned her PhD in clinical psychology from Bowling Green State University and completed her internship at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She has extensive experience in addressing the psychological well-being of individuals or couples undergoing fertility treatments. She also specializes in women’s health psychology including high risk pregnancy, pregnancy loss, anxiety/depression during pregnancy and postpartum adjustment.
