Caring for Women, Caring for Life
United for a Common Cause

Our divisions incorporate the goals of our educational programs, feature cutting-edge research and provide expert clinical care to improve all facets of women's healthcare for women of all ages.

Overview

Our Department is committed to improving the lives of women of all ages in our region. From adolescence through the childbearing and menopausal years, patients receive comprehensive care from our high-quality programs and services. We provide care to a large and diverse population, with a full-range of obstetric services. We have one of the busiest prenatal and delivery services in our region.

Our successes include the development and implementation of novel surgical techniques, breakthroughs in medical research and new innovative platforms for our educational mission, including medical students, graduate students, residents and fellows.

The clearly visible common thread is an outstanding faculty, committed to the betterment of the women in the State of Wisconsin and beyond. Devotion to providing superior clinical care is clearly visible in all aspects of our departmental effort, including obstetrical care at Meriter Hospital and St. Mary’s, care for women with gynecologic malignancies at University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics (UWHC), or general gynecologic care, including infertility, at both hospitals. That same excellence exists for the training of future physicians, educators and investigators.
