Now available! The UW Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology's new podcast, the Women's Healthcast! With this podcast, we will explore issues and innovations around women’s health, with a little help from the many amazing experts in the UW Department of Ob-Gyn.
For the inaugural episode, we spoke with UW Ob-Gyn Division of Reproductive and Population Health Director Deborah Ehrenthal, MD MPH, about Wisconsin's recent ranking as the worst state in the nation for African-American infant mortality. Ehrenthal provided an excellent overview of how infant mortality is measured, some causes and solutions, and what our department is doing to explore and address health disparities.
You can find Women's Healthcast on iTunes, Stitcher, Podbean and other preferred podcasting platforms.
In the second episode, we will talk with Kristen Sharp, MD, about pregnancy myths and CenteringPregnancy. If you'd like to appear on a future episode of Women's Healthcast or there's a topic you'd like to hear about, email Jackie Askins!
