We were all simultaneously outraged and inspired by the keynote lecture on Misogyny and Women's Health by David A. Grimes, MD. The video capture is truly a must-watch for those in the women’s health field or anyone who believes our mothers, daughters, sisters, wives, partners, and friends deserve to be treated with humanity and respect—beginning with access to safe healthcare.
Thanks to speakers Jenny Higgins, PhD, MPH (University of Wisconsin-Madison Dept. of Gender and Women’s Studies), Derek Boeldt, PhD (UW-Madison Dept. of Obstetrics and Gynecology), and Abiola Keller, PA-C, PhD, MPH (Marquette University Dept. of Physician Assistant Studies).
Congratulations to Amanda Hankes (UW-Madison Dept. of Ob-Gyn/Endocrinology and Reproductive Physiology Program) and Susan Flowers-Benton (UW-Madison Dept. of Rehabilitation Psychology), winners of the outstanding poster awards.
Please stay tuned for more information about next year’s event, coming soon. In the meantime, visit the Center for Women's Health and Health Disparities Research.
