Where will you be going and what will you be doing after residency?

I will be going to Willmar, MN to practice as a generalist in central Minnesota.

What was your proudest accomplishment during residency?

Double-scrubbing cases with junior residents have been some of my most favorite and proud moments – I love to see how their skills improve over time and I like the challenge of stepping into a surgical teaching role.

How do you feel the UW Department of Ob-Gyn prepared you for success after residency?

UW has some of the highest complexity and acuity of OB-GYN cases in the state so I was able to learn in an environment that really had it all in terms of clinical experience. I was also able to train to be a generalist from some of the top OB-GYN specialists in the region which was great.

What will you miss most about the UW Department of Ob-Gyn, Madison, and/or your time in residency?

By far I will miss the people most of all. My classmates, co-residents, attendings, and all others involved in the residency program are what made my time here so special.

What will you miss most about the UW Department of Ob-Gyn, Madison, and/or your time in residency?

I am very fortunate that I won't have to miss UW or Madison! The department and residency program have been instrumental in pursuing my interests and helping to achieve my goals. I will miss my classmates (except Adi who is staying here with me!) who have become 6 of my closest friends in the last four years.

Any special shout-outs or thanks to faculty, staff, other residents who really shaped your time here?

Special shout outs to: Ariel and Megan for making literally everything possible. Dr. Kelly, Dr. Stewart and Dr. Rhoades for mentoring me in every aspect you can imagine and shaping me into the person/mom/doctor I am today. Dr. Bailey and Dr. Beninati who have always supported my fellowship goals and invited me to every interesting case I could hope for. My husband, Jarred, and son, William, who held down the fort and made the most of all the time we've had together.
